About LoPete Crochet

The potential of yarn, what it could be, how it feels, it's utility, comfort, and beauty inspires me. Crochet requires time, and love. It can not (yet) be done by a machine. The resurging interest in crochet in my opinion, seems to reflect a growing respect for sustainability, human ingenuity and individuality.

I've enjoyed crocheting for the last 8 years, but for me it was always a very private practice that I shared with only a few special people. It was with the encouragement of one of my incredibly smart and beautiful daughters, who wore my pieces regularly and urged me to share them with others, LoPete Crochet was born. I'm thankful for her and the many who liked, complimented, and inquired about purchasing my makes. LoPete Crochet is a very small, new, and independently owned family endeavor but I'm very grateful for those that support such things as collectively they make a huge impact.
